I'm heading to Saskatchewan tomorrow for the Pelican Bay Arts Collective's Annual Poetry and Literary Festival. More details, here. I'm particularly looking forward to the launch of The Society at St. Peter's College, and hearing Tim Lilburn read. I'll be reading from my contribution to The Society, which is titled, "Do Not Overdo the Bag" - a line taken from Beckett's play, Happy Days. I'll also be reading from Calm Things at Between the Pages in Humboldt, along with a poem or two from my forthcoming book, Red Velvet Forest.
Have fun and enjoy your time at the Abbey/college!
ReplyDeleteAnd when are you launching that Red Velvet Forest my way, mmm?
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be there! We have a weather warning now. Ugh. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Saskatchewan, in particular the Muenster area which includes St. Peter's, and oh, yes, Humboldt, but really, Muenster is the centre of the universe! My universe, at least.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your reading at Between the Pages this afternoon, and I'm looking forward to hearing more tomorrow night.
Love your blogs.
Hazel - it was so lovely to meet you. I think you're right about Muenster being the center of the universe - very special place.
ReplyDeleteBrenda - the weather! The roads! They were crazy.
Tim Lilburn's reading was AMAZING! and all the readers were wonderful. It was a great experience. The college, the community, the people who came out were all so warm and really engaged by it all. Very uplifting all round.
